Jewish American Heritage Month is a recognition of the achievements and contributions of Jewish Americans to the country’s history. First proclaimed in 2006, it is celebrated each year during May.

Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month
Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPI Heritage Month) is a monthlong celebration of the cultural contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans to the history of the United States. Officially recognized in 2009, it is now celebrated annually in May.

World Day for Cultural Diversity
World Day for Cultural Diversity is a United Nations–sanctioned observance day for the promotion of diversity and intercultural dialogue. First begun in 2002, it is observed each year on May 21.

ALS Awareness Month is a monthlong campaign to spread awareness of and raise funds for research for a cure for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease), observed in the United States during May.
